BOY SCOUT SERVICE CENTER

San Gabriel Valley Council

Pasadena, CA

We designed 15,000 SF of regional offices for the Boy Scouts of America, San Gabriel Valley Council, to house offices and retail space. The design, an interpretive hybrid of the Craftsman and National Park syles, gives the Boy Scouts a strong architectural identity. BSA’s National Council endorsed the architectural style of the Service Center Building as the image best capturing the spirit of the Boy Scouts. The project also received a “Crown CIty” Pasadena Beautiful Award in 1995. The project was completed for $1,050 over budget.

Significance: The Boy Scouts of America National Council endorsed the architectural style of the Service Center Building as the image capturing the spirit of the Boy Scouts.
