CYPRESS RIDGE GOLF COMMUNITY
Cypress Master Plan, Golf Facility Master Plan, Community Village Master Plan
Arroyo Grande, CA
Cypress Ridge is an 389-acre master planned golf and recreational community on the central California Coast. The community village and the golf center provide residents with a multitude of recreational opportunities. The center includes management offices, a resource center, coffee boutique, bistro, public toilets, post office, co-op “home offices”, meeting rooms, health club with spa, massage, swimming and tennis, and a “community center” for special events and dining for 400 people. The village was designed in a regional contextual style based on the farming and agricultural aesthetic of the region.
Old growth cypress trees on the site were utilized in the master plan. The trees were milled on site and utilized in all the village structures for siding, ceilings, flooring, posts & beams. The open amphitheater is the heart of the village, and the cypress trees and lake are the backdrop, creating a natural feeling environment.
